Simple Joy

Abstract

A mix of textures brings beauty to a garden. I love this cluttered view up past the sprawling prickly pear, towards the dried stalk of the agave’s blossom, beyond the dead branches on the mesquite, and through the back neighbor’s pines to the smooth, blue sky.

When I look at it and let go of “what it is,” I just see colors, shapes, textures, and my garden paints an abstract space.
