In the Garden Path

A dirt path offers many joys–a place to rake, softness under the feet, and a spot for surprise germinations!

This calendula self-seeded in the garden path by the corner of a bed. It’s a big, vibrant plant! I water it daily, and I hope that when the finches come to eat the seeds, they sprinkle many on the ground so that we get more plants next year in this corner of the garden path.
