Lizards

First Spiny Sighting

It’s spring and the spiny lizards are out of hibernation! The little ones come out first, a few weeks after the tree lizards wake up. Then, if we have some especially warm days, the big ones might venture out.

They’ll duck back into the wood piles, mulch piles, and compost when it gets cool again.

But once we’ve had our first spiny spotting, we know that winter is gone!
